Law Firm Blog Showcases Client News

Infoworks! recently assisted client Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton with adding a blog to its online offerings. The new blog, called Good Company, was developed to help elevate and showcase news about its clients and their projects, as well as  attorney activities, articles and expertise. The new format is a quick read for visitors and helps provide added publicity for client products and services. Clearly a win-win!

New Favorite Web App: AddThis

Picture 1 My new favorite web app is AddThis! I've been adding it to projects to allow readers to spread the good news. Add This allows you to quickly and easily e-mail a web page or web post, or add it to your favorite social networking or bookmarking sites such as Facebook, Linkedin, del.icio.us, etc.

Check it out at AddThis.com. And see how I've added it on these sites, for example: a business law firm, and a legal marketing articles site...

Hello from Opening Day 2009

Opening Day 2009

Plastic Surgeon Web Site Gets Makeover

Infoworks! recently completed the updated web site for Christine Hamori Cosmetic Surgery + Skin Spa. The new look brings her web site, and web blog up to date with her advertising look-and-feel and adds a new level of strength in search engine optimization. (You may be familiar with her ads in Boston magazine and other publications — and I've shown her ads previously here on this blog.) The new site went live at the start of February and I'm already seeing an increase in visits and increased ranking on search engines. Check it out!

Shepard Fairey at Boston ICA

Shepard Fairey Peace
Originally uploaded by amyblog.

Last night I attended the members' preview show of Supply and Demand, The Art of Shepard Fairey, a 20th anniversary retrospective at The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. It's a terrific, eye-popping display of iconic images, collage and multi-media and political commentary that chronicle this well-known street artist's rise to museum acclaim. I must say, my experiences at the ICA Boston just keep getting better. This is a must see.

Winter berries

Winter berries
Originally uploaded by amyblog.
Driving back to Boston from the Sunapee area, I have spotted patches of these red berries just beyond the side of the road in several low lying areas. This time I pulled over to take a photo and possibly to steal a branch or two for holiday trim. But no single branch seemed to be a representative of the collective effect... so I left them undisturbed. Happy Holidays!

Massachusetts Super Lawyers

Boston_mCongratulations to attorneys at Massachusetts business law firm Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton named to the Massachusetts Super Lawyers list for 2008. The Massachusetts Super Lawyers list is compiled each year by Law & Politics magazine and published in the November issue of Boston magazine. Using a peer nomination and review process the list aims to represent the top 5% of lawyers practicing in Massachusetts in more than 60 areas of law. The attorneys listed are:

Also, congratulations go out to medical malpractice law firm Lubin & Meyer, which had a total of 6 attorneys named in Massachusetts Super Lawyers 2008 for the category of Personal Injury Plaintiff: Medical Malpractice. The firm's founding partner Andrew C. Meyer, Jr. and partner Robert Higgins received an additional distinction for being among the list's Top 100 — those receiving the highest point totals in the nominations, research and review process. Attorney honored as Super Lawyers are:

Boston Going Green!

As an old bballer myself, I am so caught up in the Celtics v. Lakers excitement just over the bridge from Infoworks! I stitched together this quilt made up of snapshots of the banners and fencing surrounding the Boston Garden in celebration of "The Finals," while waiting and waiting for the 9:00 p.m. tip off last night. Click through to see a slideshow of photos of the hoopla at North Station. Go Celts!

Svedka Jumps on the Bandwagon with Election-themed Ads

My brother contributes to the creative team behind Svedka Vodka and came up with the topical "Campaign" campaign. With a little brainstorming I helped him come up with this one — Swing Voters Have More Fun.

Redvsblue

See more clever vodka-inspired campaign signage — such as at: Make Cocktails, Not WarPut a Fembot in the White House; Help End Global Warming, Add More Ice; No Cocktail Left Behind...

SVEDKA_GRL says: VOTE AND PLAY RESPONSIBLY.

A little design goes a long way...

Think_green Here's a fun project I did for law firm Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell. They wanted to publish information on NH's "green" initiatives and make it standout on their web site. So, Infoworks! created a nifty PDF brochure that presented the information with style, while avoiding the cost and environmental impact of printing. Given the "green" nature of the piece it was the perfect solution. The brochure is offered as a download from their website at gcglaw.com and includes an offer for a free, enviro-friendly, reusable, cotton shopping tote. Get one while they last!

New Site for Doherty, Cella, Keane & Associates

Just launched a new site for Doherty, Cella, Keane & Associates a law firm that concentrates exclusively in social security disability law. The new site is live and now we're trying to get Google to recognize the new pages. Will update this post soon with a screen shot and more information about the firm's services handling social security disability claims for individuals nationwide. Web Site Earns 'Legal Standard of Excellence Award'

Wa_2007
I'm happy to announce that the Infoworks!-developed web site mbbp.com (designed for law firm Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton) has been awarded a 2007 web award for outstanding achievement in web site development. The Standard of Excellence award is given by the Web Marketing Association in a variety of industries — this site was judged in the Legal Services category on seven criteria: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease of use.

Busy, Busy...

I've been too busy with other web sites and blogs to tend to my own. (Shame on me.). Here's a brief rundown on what I've been up to lately to bring this blog up to date.

As usual, I do continue to blog at Amy Campbell's Web Log, primarily on law firm marketing bits, so check there for more blogging goodness.

Mbbpsm_3At the start of 2007, I went live with a beautiful new web site for business law firm Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton. Check it out, it's a definite portfolio piece. The site was the culmination of the firm's rebranding. I assisted on that as well. Great firm. Nice people! I did a similar thing in a smaller way with Boston trademark attorneys Samuels & Hiebert.

The other big news is the launch of Legal Marketing Reader. This is a web site I developed just for the hell of it. OK, not really. I created the site (with help from Fierce Frontiers) to perform a little automated magic -- it grabs the RSS headline feeds of the top law firm marketing bloggers (that I have hand selected) and presents their most recent posts on a one-page dashboard. The end result is a free and handy tool for keeping up with news on the legal marketing front. Check it out at: legalmarketingreader.com. The other reason I developed it was to demonstrate my own information-of-value marketing philosophy. If you build it, they will come.

And I've been busy with other web site maintenance chores, search engine optimization tasks, took in all day seminar on Google Adword (pay-per-click adversing) and have stayed busy resurrecting Law Links | Health Links, and starting Medical Malpractice Law Blog.

Stay tuned. More to announce soon...

Top Ten Web Diversions for 2006

Dsc02106My annual Top Ten Web Diversions for 2006 is online at Amy Campbell's Web Log. Grab a cup of office eggnog and while away the hours until the Christmas party starts! Happy Holidays everyone!

Law Firm Web Site: Be All You Can Be

Already have a law firm web site, but think it's time to improve it?  A good place to start is a web site content audit like the one I recently performed for The Young Firm, a New Orleans personal injury law firm that specialized in maritime law. Think web sites don't win clients in a professional services world? It's been working for me. 2006 has shown a siginificant increase in new business leads generated via my web site and resulting in new work. Is your web site all it can be? Read more at www.infoworks1.com.

Vermont Personal Injury Attorneys at Sylvester & Maley

Vermont Personal Injury Lawyers Sylvester & Maley is a new client. It's web site is published at a new URL and they need a little boost getting it properly indexed by web creepy crawlers. Located in Burlington, Vermont, their attorneys handle personal injury law including: medical malpractice, wrongful death, auto accidents, ski accidents, product liability and nursing home abuse. For more information see their web site at sylvestermaley.com.

Quat Law Offices on Web

Just launched a starter site for attorney Kenneth Quat who specializes in consumer issues. His Concord-Massachusetts practice, Quat Law Offices, handles debt collection defense, credit reporting problems, student loan harrassment, and problems related to foreclosures, false advertising, business fraud on an individual or class action basis for consumers in Massachusetts as well as other states.

In the May issue of Boston Magazine...

I am pleased as punch to see so many of my clients in the current issue of Boston magazine. As the annual issue listing the Massachusetts Rising Stars Super Lawyers, it features Krysia Syska and Adam Satin from Lubin & Meyer, PC, for Medical Malpractice: Plaintiff's Attorneys and Thomas Dunn from Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, PC, for Intellectual Property Law. And this ad appeared on page 163 for long-term client Christine Hamori, MD, plastic surgeon to Boston's South Shore and Nantucket.

Additionally, the City Style Scene column on page 54 singles out local customer Sorelle Bakery & Cafe as the "first stop" on a tour of the historic Charlestown neighborhood: "Belly up to the counter for a mouth-watering bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, a homemade lemon-blueberry muffin, and a chat with the cafe's amiable flock of faithful regulars." Add a cup of their excellent coffee, and I'll second that!

Drew Meyer To Chair Personal Injury Conference

Andrew C. Meyer, Jr., founding attorney with Boston medical malpratice law firm, Lubin & Meyer, PC, will chair the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) 9th Annual Personal Injury Law Conference 2006 for the ninth consecutive year on April 27, in Boston.

One of the most respected plaintiff's attorneys in Massachusetts, Meyer has successfully represented a wide variety of clients for more than 25 years. His medical malpractice verdicts and settlements consistently have been among the largest in the Commonwealth.

Attendees will learn strategies that brought in the greatest victories of 2005 from the attorneys who achieved them. The keynote address of this year's conference is the Hon. Barbara J. Rouse, Chief Justice of the Superior Court, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The event will also cover recent developments in insurance coverage, medical malpractice, premises liability, and the latest technology in the courtroom.

For more information on the MCLE Personal Injury Law Conference 2006, see the MCLE information page.

My annual top ten list

My annual take on what's interesting, important or fun on the web this year (according to me!) is now posted on my Harvard weblog. See Amy's 2005 Top Ten Web Diversions. Enjoy.
